TONY BARTON - COMEDIAN

TONY BARTON - COMEDIAN

Tony Barton is a well known TV face and has appeared in many of our favourites over the years including

‘Coronation Street’,
‘Emmerdale’,
‘Heartbeat’,
‘Last of the Summer Wine’,
‘Cracker’
‘Hollyoaks’.

Despite his success in feature films such as ‘Funny Bones’, ‘Between Two Women’ and ‘Blow Dry’, Tony’s career hasn’t always been fun, fun, fun. An example of this is the eight year run of the Stones Bitter commercial which meant he had to travel the world and force himself to drink gallons of Bitter (which accounts for the athletic physique he now sports!).

An amazing passion for entertaining people has provided many an enchanting theatre performance on stage, including the West End. Tony Barton also boasts of playing in front of the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Lancaster and many other back street pubs.

Tony captivates audiences with his lively all round cabaret. A combination of comedy and his truly moving and memorable singing voice (trained by Julie Andrews’ Mother) are the ingredients for a very enjoyable evening of entertainment.

Tony can be seen making others feel better on the charity golf circuit! Never, ever, ever short of conversation or a witty story, he is a tremendous After Dinner Speaker.

After 30 years in the business, Tony Barton is one of the most sincere people you could ever wish to meet and as a true professional he spreads warmth and happiness wherever he goes.

He is currently on screen in ‘Last of the Summer Wine’, has been inaugurated into the prestigious Grand Order of Water Rats and will be featured in ‘Grandads Back In Business’ on 10th September 2007 BBC 2.
